VSPAN members, here is a great opportunity to attend a certification review all online:
MASPAN, The Massachusetts Society of Perianesthesia Nurses is having a Zoom CPAN & CAPA Certification Review Course on Saturday September 16th, 2023. ALL VIRTUAL from 8:00AM to 4:45PM. This has been approved for 8.0 contact hours by the AACN.
Registration Information: On-line (only) registration is available @ www.maspan.org
Accreditation: This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This continuing nursing education individual activity was approved for 8.00 contact hours.
Learning Outcome: To provide perianesthesia nurses with the knowledge, confidence and test taking skills necessary to obtain specialty certification.
Target Audience: All perianesthesia nurses
Disclosure Statement: All planners and presenters at nursing continuing education activities are required to disclose to the audience any significant financial relationships with manufacturer(s) of any commercial products, goods or services. Such disclosures will be made in writing in the course presentation materials and verbally at the start of the conference.

- Refund requests subject to a $25 processing fee if binder has been mailed

Speaker Information:
Maureen McLaughlin MS, RN, ACNS-BC, CPAN, CAPA
Maureen has spent her career in perianesthesia environments and is considered a perianesthesia nurse expert. She began her perianesthesia nursing career as a staff nurse in a high acuity PACU in an academic medical center. Since that period, she has held a variety of clinical leadership roles including PACU Clinical Educator, Clinical Nurse Specialist of Procedural Sedation, Critical Care Clinical Educator and now her current role as Quality Nurse, Department of Anesthesia. Maureen’s possesses a baccalaureate degree and a Master’s Degree from Boston College. She is board certified as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Adult Health as well as dual certification as a CAPA and CPAN. Maureen is a frequent lecturer locally, nationally and internationally covering a variety of clinical topics. She echoes the vision statement from the American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification, Inc.:
