How you'll contribute
A RN Quality Analyst who excels in this role:
- Responsible for the oversight of collection, abstraction, entry and validation of data into databases relevant to the assignments within the Quality Services Department.
- Prepares reports for analysis and presentations as needed for Peer Review, Patient Safety, Quality Council, Board, Departments of the Medical Staff, Nursing Leadership Council.
- Provides education/information for staff, physicians, and Board Members as necessary regarding data/current regulatory guidelines.
- Facilitates meetings as requested and utilizes the PDSA methodology; develops Action Plans in response to outliers.
- Maintains current knowledge on best practices in regards to desired clinical outcomes with assigned outcome measures.
- Maintains knowledge of current Joint Commission standards for Oryx HAP and works with Medical Staff and Hospital staff to achieve compliance in relevant standards.
- Use organizational skills in effective planning for departmental needs and seeks opportunities to have the department and hospital work more efficiently and effectively.
- Assures wise use of resources in providing oversight for core measures function.
- Utilizes performance standards to monitor efficiency, propose cost reductions, quality gains and improved services.

What we're looking for
The right candidate will ensure the reliable abstraction of data from medical records, the submission of data to relevant databases, the assimilation of findings from databases and the preparation of reports for analysis by departments and committees of the medical staff and hospital.Must have the ability to work with all hospital departments and functions to obtain and disseminate information related to desired clinical outcomes and measures of performance. Databases may vary depending on the contracts initiated by the hospital or required by regulatory agencies. Quality Analyst must be able to comprehend and seek compliance with relevant regulatory agencies related to the overall responsibilities of the Quality Department.
Applicants must have a current VA RN license or compact state
Additional requirements include:
Graduate of a professional school of nursing
Bachelors degree preferred but not required
